Sorry, I usually will send a ticket and wait patiently until someone does the job. But recently the respond is too slow (if there is any) and it makes it irresistible for me to participate more in the forum.

FTP doesn't work either: 421 Home directory not available.

And one more thing, I don’t know if this is related or not but I don’t get any signups when my member server down (Feb 4-5). I’m just curious. It may be just 2 consecutive bad days but it seems odd compare to the other days and those days were the highest clicks of this month (the click goes almost double on Feb 4). Anyone here can tell if you have the same issue?
Note: there is also a missing signup today. I’ll send the list of the missing signups through email later.

216.32.208.127 is very slow as well. Download speeds are like 3KB/sec the pages are taking for ever to load. I am getting emails from members that are not to happy about paying for such slow service.

Maybe this is a stupid question. But: Wouldn't it be much easier if you simply gave us space on a new server, together with the number of movie-credits which we had accumulated for the old site? Then we could upload our site from our own backups. I know that this is not an option for everyone, since not all of us do have complete backups. But for me, for example, it would take maybe a day to reconstruct my two still missing sites (13230 and 14377). And probably another 5 hours if I switched my movie-links to the new centralized content-system.

Well Im just totaly confused!? I was happy as a pig in shit last nite because at least I got both of my best sites back online! I did not have any ftp to my members areas but if its online I can sell it and my members can see what they paid for!
BUT this am I awake to my very best sites members area gone online AGAIN! And now I have it on ftp! I mean this is really getting strange here! Almost like I have to give one up to have the other! My other site although it is back online THANK GOD! I still do not have any members area on ftp for it either!
All of this started when things started getting moved around and the hardware problem ofcourse! But I have ben to the particapating sites area and believe me there are plenty of sites that dont seem to have been affected by this! HHMMMM Its wierd and Im not really in a position to do much because the ticket box is not working I have tried at least 6 times since yesterday and i get no return e-mail! So Im happy that one of my sites is back online but I lost my very best one online AGAIN!

Maybe in the near future all will be fixed but by then HOW MANY members will be lost and what kind of name will my sites have! Is it gonna be like when I first started all over again? And Im sorry for those of you who have members in the triple digits you may loose a few and it really would not hurt you as bad as someone like me who cant afford to loose one much less 10 or 15 which by the way is the number since this began that have not rebilled on my sites! I have had 1 sign-up in the past month for 4 sites! NOW you tell me whos suffering here!

My site was one of the ones that were lost the last time 249 came down anyway ( it died while I was re-uploading my site to it). So this would be fine with me also.

Id be perferctly happy on another server - any server at this point - before losing more members.

i like the honeysuckle's idea of being given credits to redo our sites using the new content system. problem is i've been with AB almost a year now and some of my content isnt offered anymore. but thank gawd i got backups!

One of my sites, 14377, is partially up again. HTTP and FTP are working but:

My site has apparently only be partially restored. All directories are there but a lot of files are missing. I first noticed this last night and thought that maybe the files are still being copied. So I went to sleep and just checked again. The missing files are still missing :).

Now I'd like to know: Should I continue to wait for the rest of the files? Or should I assume that they have been lost?

Listen AB-Staff...there's only two things I need you to do for me on .249.
1) Recreate a home directory/user bungholio again, or give me sudo/root priveleges, telnet access and I'll do it myself. I don't need you to restore any files in my members area (which doesn't even exist yet) I will upload and replace my own.
2) Movies - if this new content serving system is actually working - give me temporary usernames/passwords so I can reclaim my content.

As difficult as it is to navigate this forum, I try not to add to the mess with meaningless ramblings. Unfortunately only the sqeaky wheel seems to get the grease here. These past two weeks have certaintly stretched the limits of what little patience I have left.

Can't we all just make some money!

I know you don't know me personally and don't realize that I'm mostly just venting. And I have a right to. Of course I know you will not give me Telnet/SSH access. But I did offer two simple (and I believe practical) solutions for at least one site that would remove the burden from the AB Staff for having to do very time intensive restores, that may not even completely recover my data. This is not an attack but an offer to help you help me. How about addressing a time frame for this to happen or just tell me it's not possible. Also please do not make it try to seem as if I'm being impatient, or asking you to put my site before all others. After all this has been going on since the end of January. How many posts have you seen come from me!

Well I see there are others having similar problems. My issue is with 216.32.208.127:21. It has been going on about a week maybe longer. First I couldn't ftp to it. Now I can but upload any thing. I get this error when I try, 553 Disk full - please upload later. I have tried deleting things to make room. Nothing works. All my content photos are little red x's. I have asked Devil about this, I have emailed Arun several times about it, filled out a ticket and looked for help in chat. So far the only to respond has been Devil and the response has been the same. They're working on it.

Is there any estimate on how long the sites gonna be down? And how does it know to just not show my content pictures yet my background jpg and logo can be viewed just fine? What's that all about :-)

Any ways, any information would be greatly appreciated.
