I'm going to write it up this weekend, I will post it here when I'm done. (I hope to get it done by sunday, I don't have alot of info on it right now)
It will show/explain to some of you how to get your firewall/routers/DMZ/NAT to permit FXP outbound.

I didnt think it was possible. I have been able to access the ftp sites and download to my harddrive; but always get rejected when i try to initiate fxp transfer. fxp works great when i take the internet sharing router offline and connect direct to my cable modem.

I didn't even know this was a problem. I've been fxp'ing since summer. I got a linksys router and have tried it on both ultraDSL and cable. No problems whatsoever. I just installed the program and it ran flawlessly. Perhaps you guys should check out:

for some help. FXP is the program of choice for backing up xbox games.
