How long do movie requests take?

I know there have been issues with the server queue for movies, and also with the login to choose movies, but I was curious as to how long it takes to have your selections moved to your account?

I selected two movies like 10 days ago and they have never been uploaded, yet it still took my credits.

Is it normal for it to take this long? Or is this a special circumstance due to the server issues?

i dont know if they have cleared some space but a lot of people are waiting for there movies to be uploaded so dont worry.

That has cleared up. Space has been made and the queue has been reduced dramatically so its catching up very fast now.

Approvals take up to 48 hrs and copying takes about 2-4 days to reach your content server. We are working on a solution for this so that its instant itll be greatttttttt. :)

Instant copying....WOOHOO...no more waiting...and here i had just gotten used to looking for the "content approved" emails (then you guys chucked those)... :lol:

I am a first time (newbie) to AB. I am waiting for my first site to be aproved and am not real clear on the content part of AB. Can someone make the system clear for me. IE..do I log into content and download to my PC the content and break it up into smaller pieces? Is it already broke up? Or does the content never leave the AB servers?

Just looking for some freindly help.

You will get an email, when approved, with the movie content systems url.

Yes you have to log in using your ABid without the AB in front of it (i.e. 18872, instead of ab18872) and password.

Once you choose a movie, you will have to check back at the movie order page (right now movies are usually approved within 24-48 hours) to see if it has been approved to use on your site.
Once it has been approved, there will be a link to download the pics.zip (screenshots from the movie taken, automatically, every 5-15 seconds) and the movie itself will automatically be loaded to your contentserver folder.

The movies are already broken down into scenes for you...you just link to the scenes.

You can download the movies to your pc...it's the easiest and (i may be wrong) the only way to actually cut 10 - 45 second clips for MGP posting.

When you connect to your members area url (i.e. prv.membersarea.AB.com), using an FTP program (like, cuteftp, ws-ftp pro, flashfxp...etc) you get a folder tree...in that tree will be a folder named "contentserver", open this up and you will see your movies. Open the movie of your choice and viola! you should see the folder path (i.e.: <a href="/contentserver/wmv-DVD/South_American_Pie/South_American_Pie_1_1.wmv>[Part 1]</a> that you should use to link each part, of each scene, my example shows my link to part 1 of scene one for South American Pie.

Use something like WS_FTP as your FTP Client. Then just enter mysitename.adultbouncer.com into the FTP Host area. Next page you enter your Site ID as your login and your password. (Don't put AB in front of your Site ID).

When your Site Opens you will see a Folder titled contentserver. Double click this folder and you'll see 2 more Folders, wmv-DVD and wmv-VHS. Double click on wmv-DVD Folder and you'll see your list of Movies.

The easiest way to work out your links is to open the link to your Movie, (double click the Movie Title) and Select DirInfo when the link opens, which is on the Right hand side. There's one on the laft too, but you want the remote directory, not the local one. (Right side is the Remote Server, Left side is your computer). Save the Directory Info file and use it to make your links. Your links will look something like Dred said. "<a href="/contentserver/wmv-DVD/South_American_Pie/South_American_Pie_1_1.wmv>"

Don't forget to place the /contentserver/wmv-DVD/ part to the front of your links. The DirInfo will only give you the South_American_Pie/South_American_Pie_1_1.wmv part.

As Dred said, you can download the Movies to your computer so you can cut them to make preview clips for promotion. If the Movies you download are DRM protected, you will need to download and install the MovieSplitter. You can find a link to the download in the Webmaster's Lounge, under News.

user id: the login name for your ftp server

password: your mainsite id's ftp password

port: 21

Then hit "go".

As far as the rest of your questions:

Well, now I am really confused, because that is exactly how it used to be -- only now it doesn't seem to be working for me... I tried both the old password I used to have and the new one they emailed me, but neither seems to work. For some reason, I can't log on and I can't figure out why.
