MOVIE CREDITS BEING UPPED EVERY MONTH

hhmmm, i not sure if this is a good thing or bad thing?
Won't that mean even more sites having exactly the same content as many others. Are you going to get hold of more movies? For example, if i want a "fat or mature movie" there is only a handfull of these movies available :roll:

I think getting more movies for other "niches" would be a good idea.
There are 14 pages of "hardcore" movies available yet just 1 "fat" movie.
Under the "participating sites" list where the potential customer will visit, there's loads of catergories to choose from (most being hardcore sites). If for example i wanted to start a "fat" site or another "niche" site , having 5 movie credits would not be much benifit to me with just a few movie to suit my site available.
With the new Visa rulings now, i'm sure you've had a lot of new webmasters join AB. If i had an AB site for sometime, i'd be a bit peeved that new webmasters can now join and can get 5 movies instantly. For the peeps who payed there $19.95 per month, seeing the same movies on numerous sites must feel slightly cheated. Don't get me wrong, i still think AB is fantastic for both webmasters and your everyday surfer. By adding more movies though, should make it so much better for everyone.

On this same note Rob and Marco what happened to the hundreds of movies that were on the old order page? I haven't counted the movies available now but I remember there being a boat load of avaialable movies and 2x as much that we could order to be encoded. Just curious. Thanks!

If everyone gets the same content I don't really understand the order system, isn't it just duplicating and wasting a lot of resources in a bunch of cases.. although bandwidth is more expensive then cheap HD space..

Also is there ever a chance of ab getting some picture content, ie non screen captures from movies but actually picture series.

We actually have titles that people have not selected because of credits only being at 3. This is why we have raised it.

As for picture content, every movie folder also contains pictures. We also have stills we are scanning to put online.

I can't believe you people. You’ve just been given a gift and you're bitching about it? If you're that concerned with people having the same content then go buy you're own. I don't believe the idea behind AB providing FREE content is so that you can just use AB content. The point is to plump up your archive and get yourself going. Make lots of money and then go buy some fresh content.

You're running a business. Invest in it. If you can't afford to invest in it then quit or use the AB content and quit complaining about the stuff you're getting for free.

Yes it would be nice if we could implement some rules on moive orders as far as who gets what. But in the end it's all about you. It's your site. You decided to make an adult site with no content. So AB says, "OK you have nothing? Here, take some free movies on us." And yet you complain about that. It's either too much or too little and no matter what rules get implemented someone is gonna get their panties in a wad.

Now here's a helpful hint. Download the VHS stuff! No one is downloading it (well very few are). It's basically untapped content. Find a few vhs titles then search the net for more info on them. If you can find the back box cover you can see a little more of what's in side. I have found a bunch of great VHS titles that have really good quality. I've also downloaded some DVD's that the quality was poor. Just be creative, explore, and create. Take good screen caps and don't always use the same screen caps that come with the movie. Chances are everyone else is. If you take different ones it will look like a completely different movie. I rarely use the AB screen caps.

The point is there are other ways to go about this. I for one am glad we can choose more movies. I get pick the titles that I thought might be too risky. The s h I t, you look at and go, damn, I'm tempted to get it but it could suck. Now you can find out. And who knows you might be surprised and now you have content no one else does. See Problem solved.

the odd vhs flick actually look pretty good. I cant help but wonder that some of the vhs flicks that look so shabby are well used before AB ever gets ahold of them. Encoding doesnt do that to video - the source has to be shitty for that to happen.

dont think your getting the point here erik....which is hard to believe because ab folks have always been so bright.
the point isnt that we are bitching and moaning about the free stuff...its that for the most part many of us feel we have a vested interest in ab and thberefore tend to extend our concern outside of our own sites.
in this case letting people have more movies mean more webmasters will be filling up servers with movies that are duplicated 10- 15-20 times which fills up the server needlessly and limits the ammount of content that can be added.
so we aren ot bitching about free content. we are concerned about more discs full. clear the discs....limit the repetitions.....and you will have more happy webmasters.
can you do that? or is that someone elses job?

In any case....it's 3 now...they stopped doing 5 in december...
