i was playing the clips i cut with the movie splitter i got the message you have played the clip limit click here to sign up......... and when i clicked on the link to see if it goes to my site or the sign up page it just opens a blank page? did i do something wrong? if you go to my site and download the clips just keep playing it till you get that message i think its three plays and when you click on the link it just opens a blank page. :shock: :x

I make my clips as wmv unprotected...then i can change them to mpegs and not have that drm block on them...

If you make them in just wmv, then you get the drm block along with it...3 plays, signup page...why the page doesn't come up? That i don't know, all my clips are converted to mpegs. :wink:

yeah but the point is after viewing is for them to sign up which is good i just dont know why it pops up a blank page.

I don't think viewers of the MGPs watch the clips more than once myself there are usually way too many other good looking clips to watch the same one 3 times ( kid in a candy store type of thinking)...

at least i know i don't watch a clip more than once before moving on.

i agree. People are spoiled nowadays and webmasters are living in the past. Now it's about quantity and quality. Why burn clips when you keep updating your sites with better movies. I've given up on burning clips long time ago. Movies are like women. A guy is as faithful to a movie as he is with women. We are as faithful as our opportunities. If you keep updating your archives with great stuff then there wont be that urgency to burn movies unless they are gonna quite fast. And the same goes with movie samples - if someone is gonna toss off to a 30 second clip or even 1:30min sample of lower quality then you would have probably not gotten them as a member anyways. You have to know about the nature of the beast - we in the end want more and we want variety. And maybe you should pick your clips better - make webmasters happy with your quality and give surfers blue balls.

Porn is like selling crack, smack, crank or any kind of drug. No one needs it - but give them a free sample and they'll believe they do. But it's how you deliver it. Not everyone can be a pusher let alone keep their pimp hand strong. on that note Happy Easter see you all in hell. lol

forget the clips i forget there not allowed in the preview anyways but the point is id rather see the user go to the sign up page not a blank page.

I tested the behaviour again just to make sure there wasnt anything wrong with the system and it worked fine for me. The way its supposed to work is that its supposed to take you to your site's preview area in a new browser. This completely depends on whether or not the user has some sort of pop up blockers installed on his machine. also with xp sp2 coming out it has a pop up blocker built into IE, and I dont know what kind of issues this is going to cause.

can we test it on our computers to see if it works or does it have to be downloaded? like i said i tried it on my computer does cookies need to be enabled?
