Many webmasters are submitting to us requests to remove bad comments from their vote listing.

We will NOT do this. Please do not ASK. All members have the ability to what they want in terms of voting.

It's a voting system where users choose their rating. Its not a system where all you get is good comments.

all vote requests to be deleted will be denied.

if people keep asking us, we will just remove the voting system entirely and your rank will be even worse.

It'd kinda suck if the server went down, (which we can't control) causing someone to leave a nasty message.

I agree that bad votes shouldn't be removed but me too have a bad vote from a user who was not able to login which is not my fault.

Why remove the voting system? is a wonderful took that ley everyone know what people believe about his site. No system if 100% perfect though. Personally, just pointing certain gray areas.

I'm also in favour of the voting-system.
But I would appreciate it if we could sortof "reply" to the comments. E.g.: I recently got a bad vote since the site was down. In this case I would like to reply something like "We apologize for the inconvenience - it was a short-term technical problem".

Regards,

Honeysuckle

Does the voting system actually do anything ?

I dont have them on my sites, whats the point ?

Or Am I missing something really obvious.

I would prefer a random system, where the link list order changes every hour or so, some other avs systems do this, other avs systems just list the newest site on top, or most members.

The current system lets webmasters vote for themselves with stolen passwords, then devote other webmasters sites. I had it done to me and the webmaster admited he did it, and that him and another webmaster would exchange votes for eachothers sites.

I thiink a random order, coupled with a site of the hour would be a good idea - at the end of the day if people can abuse it , they will.

I like the voting system, however I have just 1 vote & it says 'sh*t' - there is no explenation why he/she thinks my site is so bad (no name left), anyone coming by will see the vote & not bother coming into my site, so I think we should be able to request that a member of staff take a look at unfair comments and delete them if they agree the comment serves no purpose.

I don't mind someone telling me that they hate my site but I would like a reason for it so I can improve my site.
I understand this may sound like sour grapes because my only vote says sh*t but on the other other hand it's hardly constructive.

votes are double edged but hey, its a way to show how your customers like a site

btw fyi #13928 the links go like this ...

http://www.adultbouncer.com/comment_list.php?siteid=13890

replace the 13890 with your site ID

http://www.adultbouncer.com/vote.php?siteid=13890

this is for ppl to vote for your site, an Id can only vote once every 2 months
