I've found a blog with more movies than some paysites. Of course, everything posted there is copyright violation. Most movies are hosted on Rapidshare.com but other free hosts are used too. Many movies are licensed to Adultbouncer: Twinlock, Hot Bizarre Cooking, Extreme Penetrations No 5,6,7, Extra Stark 22, etc.
The blog is: http://full-movies.blogbugs.org

Unfortunately we cant do anything since we dont own the movies. it has our watermark but that doesnt give us the rights to DMCA them.
the studio would have to do it.

I have a hypothetical question for you Rob,
If a link thief stole some movies from adultbouncer and posted it on rapidshare and we report the stolen movies to the movie studio who produced the movies, and the movie studio is willing to sue the link thieves, the piraters forums and rapidshare - would adultbouncer also be in trouble since we have our watermark on the movies. I am not sure whether or not on this since we have the license to host their movie on adultbouncer servers?

i think the only thing we can do is say theyre using our trademark because its on the movies
we wont get in toruble becuz the watermark is on the movies

Talking about copyright violation ....
I see that most of the movies are available on IPOD/PSP ...can we use their logos? Are we authorized to do so?
Thanks!
[edit] well, any copyrighted logo ..."HD" , etc.

I doubt it.
You most likely need a license from Sony or Apple. But I could be wrong. Im not really sure myself.

I had to dig through some old e-mails from two years back to find the answer. You can use those images but you should add this statement to any pages that you add them.
“Apple and iPod are trademarks of Apple Computer, Inc. Sony and PSP are trademarks of Sony Corporation and Sony Computer Entertainment, Inc.”
Hope this answers your question Stamp.

[edit] and if we use WMPlayer logo/box/skins designs/the little X/the little copyrighted pixel on the left,
etc, etc.
Should we care about thoses things?
I'm pretty quite sure that the PLAY button (the little triangle) isn't the intellectual ownership of one person ...but i'm asking myself how far can we go to create a confortable zone between our sites AND the surfers who probably use WMPlayer as the exclusive technical tools for all his porn desire. (He saw the wmplayer's PLAY button two thousand times ...we WILL feel confortable to click on this "logo" ..IF we can use it. )
Well, is a copyright thread ... ;)

Well HD, Blu Ray and WMPlayer actually require you too request a free license to use the official logo on your websites.
So the answer to your question "Should we care about those things?" YES

And Adultbouncer doesn't provide a "certain kind of global licence" for us? (with a guideline and licence agreement blablabla) ??
I think it should be great for all of us if we couldn't bother about such things...
(Yeah, I also plan to sells the "HD" plus-value of our movies ;) ...)
Oh, another question....:
Can we offer the technicals help/tool to our customers if they want to burn their HD movies on their DVD burner ? (example, if they want to see the movie on their home theater, for personal use.)
I was wondering if it could help retention%...
Just askin'.

Why would we offer a global licence ? We do not even use the official logo's of HD or Blu Ray as our content is "near" HD quality not actual HD.

I was just asking :)
Oh, I thought that the logos on AB.com front page was the official one...my bad.
And ...why? legal threat of course. To protect their webmasters. I don't know ... AB seems to put a lot of effort to give the nicest tools to their webmasters. I thought that it could be another one ;)
PS : I'm not complaining! I'm trying to give some suggestions ...

Maybe i could have typed my last comment better. If we were using full HD and had the official logo's then all our webmasters would be able to use it. We are always open to suggestions thats why we have a suggestion thread on this forum :)
