Hi,

was looking at vixeo.com to see what's offered and how I could promote it when I saw the little french flag at the top of the main page. So I thought: "OMG, they made it!:-D" then I clicked it... and WTF! This isn't french at all! It's somekind of googled english mixed with a bit of french and some backward sentence really hard to understand.

I'm from Montréal, Canada and I speak french and if I had to pay for a site it prolly wouldn't be this one. It's not looking pro at all!

Well if you guys need help to translate it in french I would be really pleased to translate it in a perfectly written french. But don't leave it this way... You won't get more sales from it, you'll prolly lose some:S

naja je m'appelle PornstarXS, je suis Canadiene aussi - not bad for grade 11 french? good to know we have some french speaking amis.

Pornstarxs.com will be providing translations in the near future as well. In the mean time - one thing i learned in school is trying to communicate in symbols + signage. There's so many languages out there that you can never translate for all the 100s of languages so it's always good to keep in mind how can we still provide a service to everyone so people dont get left out.

well i'm not sure i understand what u mean but i never said it was a bad idea to translate a website.. lol It is a good idea... that wasn't the point here and what was wrong has been fixed so i think everything's all right now:)

Btw: I am really impressed by the speed at which the AB's team responds to all the problems that we may encounter. I think this is very encouraging and it gives us energy to continue working.

Je suis de Suisse, il y a un an c'est moi qui ai proposé à vixeo de traduire bénévolement leur site en français, j'y ai passé une semaine, ils m'ont transmis un petit programme qui ouvrait les phrases a traduire, les phrases étaient en dehors de leur contexte et c'était difficile de faire un traduction fidèle. Certaines fois j'ai pu remarqué que des phrases sans rapport ont été collées ensembles automatiquement par ce programme, ce qui donne une traduction indigne de ce nom sur les sites. J'avais à l'époque demandé a Vixeo de corriger les plus grosses erreurs qui apparaissaient sur le page index mais ceci n'a pas été fait pour une raison que j'ignore. Vous avez la chance d'être bilingue puisqu'au Canada, vous pouvez essayer de demander a Alex de Vixeo qu'ils vous transmette ce programme avec les traductions à corriger je pense que vous devriez avoir plus de facilité que moi pour fiare ce job. (French keywords too...think about it. Take your time and translate your descriptions, you will generate a lot of new traffic.)

French is used all around the world on a daily basis. (like every colonialist countries, (spanish, portuguese, dutch, etc.))

Most of the Europeans will speaks french or english as their 2nd language. humbly, I think french AND english is the key to Europe. period. You will gather the biggest part of the europeans trafic if you can translate all your stuff in french. That's my point of view.

But you don't sell porn to europeans like you sell porn to americans.
That's another hard challenge.
