Allowed file size on gallery host

What is the max file size on gallery host? I'd like to encode my clips to look maximally good.

I too would like clarification on this as i'm really confused. I know AB provides ready cut clips for promotion, but i'm a perfectionist and would really like to be able to choose the appropriate movie part, cut, re-encode and submit my galleries, but I think we aren't allowed to upload movie segments to the gallery servers anymore, is this correct?

Also, please note that you are allowed to upload movie clips to your AB host.

Are there traffic limits, because sometimes you'll get a gallery that converts really well and other times they just...well, won't, lol!

From what I remember you simply need to make a sale per 10gb of bandwidth you use.

That could actually be pretty difficult with todays competition, because you could end up submitting to a massive site with poor traffic, so you'd get a ton of hits, no sales and immediately go over your 10gig limit.

Imagine a gallery with 2MB of movies on it, that means 5000 people can download that movie before you hit 10 gigs, I remember that quite often you could have galleries hitting 40-50k hits without even getting a signup.

I think it'll be a case of fine tuning submission lists to find the sites that send quality traffic.

I actually host my clean gallery on AB and put my junk galleries on my own server because there I have more bandwidth than I'll be using for a long time (once I get it back up). That way I can see which tgps are worth the time and which ones I should pass on. When it comes to little crappy tgps (no offense to anyone), I put three banners together on a copy of my gallery and send it off. Once you make it, you can't change it, its a good idea to make a database of ones that don't like you, ones that have special rules, and ones that send good traffic.

This also comes in handy in case you get listed on thehun.net or something like that. I don't remember the stats, but I remembered shitting myself when I saw how much bandwidth I burned.

As for the movie clips, I tend to have 3.5mb mpegs at 30 secs, but I'm sure that other people have their preferences.

How did the traffic convert?

Last time I was on the Hun was earlier this year and I got three members out of it. Every other time I got either one or none.

You have to bear in mind that he is one of the biggest TGPs on the net, so everyone goes there, which means that most of your visitors are going to be looking for free porn, so simply won't buy it. Your only goal with Hun is to go for volume, get as many of those people to your site as you can by providing decent clips and thumbs and good advertising, and hope that you gain the few people that will pay for porn.

I'm not saying Hun's traffic isn't good, far from it in fact, it's just that it's quirky. And it converts better if you sent the visitors to a page that isn't full of standard 'pretty girl' stuff. My best conversions are to a granny page and a bbw page. Which sucks right now because I'm working on my teen site!

I made 2 sales to a milf site so I can confirm that "niche" sales. There is a lot of teen and hardcore out there, that going specific can really make the difference. I'm actually going to submit another gallery this weekend, I already have the movie clips ready, I just need to tweak my template (that I made myself, I add). I'm using the same basic one that madw the sales.

The hun is probably one of the best conversions I have had. Been a loyal submitter and they are very consistent 1-4 signups for each listing. Also getting good conversion from freeones as well. Sometimes the hun can also help boost your rankings with google if you have optimized your galleries specific to starlette! So really that can help several ways. Its also a plus to get listed on the 1st of every month as there are the monthly archives surfers visit, but its a total crap shoot as review times are all over the board. Bottom line the hun roxx!

So do you guys not submit galleries daily? It used to be the norm for me to submit 2-3 galleries every day, monday-saturday, even back in the days when we just had to use "borrowed" isp webspace, he he!

At the moment I hardly submit at all but that will change very soon. Will be submitting to Hun every four days, or at least once a week, and will be submitting to other selected mgp as often as they allow. I won't mass-submit though as I have enough other stuff to be getting on with.

My situation is a bit too chaotic for me to do more than one submission a week, not much peace and quiet to be had. I would have to make a few more templates to rotate out and step up the editing process. I also have another site that needs some serious tlc before (or after) I roll out my last site.
