I'm not on anything, cheeky bugger.
Oh, I see what you mean! ;)
I don't know what Be is, I'm with BT Internet.

www.bethere.co.uk (http://www.bethere.co.uk) it's the ISP i'm with, 24MB speedy goodness, although I only get 20MB, but it's worth it at £24 a month with no download limits :D

Its better than Cumcast: Where we fuck you over.
FYI: I'm not happy with my isp especially for over $70/month The speeds are fast but terribly inconsistant. My internet also goes down a few times a day, making me very agitated.
What speed do ya get with comcast, I know you guys are miles ahead of us in the speed stakes

8-12Mbps. There are also 4 other people here who heavily use the internet, I'm just the only one who does anything useful. I've gotten downloads from AB at ~1250 kb/s (off peak time) before. The only problem is that that we are constantly disconnected, we even paid $50 to get it fixed and it was ok for a few days then it started the interruptions again.
Sounds as though you could be here in the UK, that's about the quality of almost all our cable and dsl connections!

And I thought we were advanced here in canada... sympatico (sympathetic) gives us 5MB with dl speeds sometimes 512 kbps and horrible tech support trying to sell new stuff to us without actually fixing the problem...
"Can I help you ?"
"My Internet is really slow, it was faster a week ago"
"Ok I'll help you, do you want to upgrade your service, it's only $45.15/month for 6MB"
"No thanks"
"Try to disable your connection and push the reset button on your modem"
"Done, doesn't work"
"Then we'll check it out and give you a call in 4-5 days, Do you have sattelite ?"
"Yes and I don't need anything more"
"We have a new channel called Cine-pop and Take2, do you wa..."
"No i'm not interested"
"Have a nice day, sir"
And it's been 3 weeks i'm waiting...And all this for $35/month. Is that the way they help you if you call them ?

They help of yu get a good person. My roommate ended up asking the chick on the line out, that's the only reason we got any on site help. The other time we got help was when he started a conversation about WoW and the guy on the other end was a sympathetic gamer.

If you get a moron on the phone, just hang up and phone back. Don't waste your time dealing with them. Most customer service staff are either sales staff in disguise (as has been shown above) or they just want to get through the day and sod off home.
Usually there is one good person. Find them, and keep them!

At least in the US and Canada you guys don't have to deal with BT, there are consistently call queues in excess of 4/5 hours to get any kind of support, then you get put through to the wrong department and spend another 4 hours getting through to the right place, if you are lucky!

No it's true, we don't really have to wait more than 30 minutes... but there is some ****** music playing while we wait though, do you have to listen to "elevator" music for 4 hours too ? If you do, then I pity you... It can really ruin a day...unless you like that kind of music, which I totally respect
Nope, nope music, just some dopey woman saying about how busy they are and how important your call is every single minute...makes you want to rip off your own arm to beat yourself to death with it!
