No offence Smutstack, but I invested some of my earnings in a large HD to store my entire sites (preview & members area) and backed them up to DVD as well.

Hindsight is ALWAYS 20/20....too late for the HD/backup thing as far as Smut is concerned, the content is already gone/lost.

To be honest... I don't really see the use of this thread.... It even kinda looks like you're making fun of Smut and saying 'nanananana.... I got backups, and you got none....'

Haj's EZ Backup Guide for Most AB Webmasters Ver 1.0

Step 1: Select the folder(s) that contain your site's files
Step 2: Click and drag the folder(s) to the Recycle Bin
Step 3: Right click on Recycle Bin and select "Empty"
Step 4: Repeat for every crappy site that you own

use it in good health.

Yeah, some sites are crappy, but there is the possibility for improvement. My site was pretty crappy when it first went online. I've improved.

Still...some webmasters have stuck to the same formula for years.

Well, fuck, thanks for the input.

Honestly, before I did my huge redesign and had to download and recap every single one of the movies in my archive, I had asked AB about the potential for me to send them an external FW drive to get a complete backup. At first it was no problem, then it was some problem, then the whole idea collapsed. So it's not like I never thought of such an innovative and remarkable idea.

Now...with a response from Smut....may this thread rest in peace?

Or to be more blunt...May this thread die a horrible death in this forum...never again to be brought back to life!

I also agree with Cpt_CoPyCaT about this thread...no real reason it should even be here.
