What Do You Think About The New Vixeo Design?

The design in nicer and the girls in the header are more cute than the old one. Vixeo also look more full...no more big white spaces. The search function has been taken at the top and this is a good thing. Plus, i like the last release section with the thumbs and the description.

That's all i can think of, but IMHO it's much better.

What do other think ?

Here's a few things I saw....

Main site:
Me likey. The design is cool and the colours scheme is attractive.
I am wondering how webmasters will be able to incorporate their own custom logo (as we are able to do now the the current design). The problem is the background image. It will look silly with the background image cut off where our custom logos start. If we are still going to have the ability to use our own logo, I can think of 3 options:
remove the background image (I like the image!)
provide webmasters a Photoshop file with the layers for that image. That way we can make our logo and still incorporate the background image
require all logos to be transparent gifs.
I don't like the white text on the light green 'Download Now' button. I can see it clearly, but it's important to make it easy to read for all users. The text on the left-hand tabs is clear enough, I just think the button is too light for white text.
What does the 'Filter' option do? How is it different than the other search functions.
In the category listings on the left, what is 'Classic'?

Are you sure you want to show how many times a movie has been downloaded? That seems like rather confidential business info to be showing to the public. Kind of like showing how many customers you have.
I don't see the ability to see the the big box covers. I hope it will be added to the individual movie pages (which we can't see yet).Sign-Up page
At the lower left, there is a small advert for webmasters (great retention). Doesn't belong on a Sign-up page.
Isn't there a phone sign-up system? I thought we had one of those.
I notice the price is different. Interesting way of introducing that.
The 'Standard' signup has a link for the Premium signup.

I suggest changing the text for 'Latest Galleries' to 'Latest Gallery Templates' since this is intended for webmasters.

The page looks good but,
I have never liked the idea of showing the production/release date. Some titles are several years old before they are added to the site (at no fault of AB/VX). The problem is that the visitor doesn't know that the titles aren't released to the net at the same time as they are released to the local Video store or Online DVD store. Perhaps it would be more impressive to list the date added, rather than the release date. Showing the date added lets the visitor see how frequently titles are added, rather than the fact that the movie is 3 years old (at least).Overall, I think design is very nice, very clear and easy to navigate. Well done.
By the way, I am noticing a slight resemblance in the colour scheme between the new VX site, and this Forum! It's easy to see when you flip back and forth reviewing the design! ;-)

this is preliminary

we need to change some things to fit vixeo

the designer didnt know true specifics of vixeo so he filled in some stuff that shouldnt be there :)

like price etc.

as for product date i tihnk its a good idea remoiving it..surfer dont really care anyways :)

once we are ready to put it live we will go over cbouchs requests and make some changes :)

Oh BTW we wont be using that cover for sur e:)

not even sure why our designer used it.

but like i mentoined this is all rough :) of course or normal dvds will appear once its live

as for the logo yes we will provide the PSD as this site is alot less flexibile to modify. the only thing you will be able to modify is the logo :)

there was alot more flexibility in the old design but to go with that is uglieness :)
