Pixelated movies

Is it just me or doesn't anyone notice the poor quality of the latest rips? It looks like the movies have been zoomed up to a bigger resolution than they were originally shot. Or it might be something to do with the deinterlace settings. Whatever the problem is, the issue is that they are not clear, there are obvious pixels that can be seen especially in close-up angled areas and where lighting is good. This makes the movies impossible to use, at least I wouldn't subscribe to that low quality.

We havent changed encoding type in a long time.

We dont change settings from movie to movie.
