what is going on at ab?

i looked in the news section but didn't see anything so i'm coming here because i'm curious. is ab going through and weeding out all the crap sites because if so i want to praise them big time. but i'm wondering why sections like "asians" went from 60+ to not existing and now it's back with only 3. plus my site still hasn't been listed after emailing kevin so finally dropped off a ticket asking about it. somebody please answer my curiosity.

I'm assuming all the big guys at AB are in Vegas at the moment so you probably won't get a response over email.

But who knows what's going on?! Adultbouncer do what they want and tell us if they feel like it. The content hasn't been updated in over a month and a half, member retention is awful and the site listings are still terrible.

I make alot with AB, I'm not moaning for the sake of it, they're a big chunk of my income but it's worrying how them seem to be in freefall and from the outside at least they don't seem to be doing anything about it.

A bit of bad timing.

You got Christmas, then New Year's and now the Internext Expo in Vegas. Almost a month gone.

For months, AB has been working on making the movie clips right protected, ala DRM technology. This is why the content system hasn't been updated. Back in November, Rob said a batch of new movies have arrived. He states there are over 1000 ready to be added, but won't until the DRM is in place. This requires a lot of time to prepare and the reason for the lack of new movies.

Also, a new rule is now in place. AB is finally cracking down on the illegal or "shady" sites. There were a lot of shady ones in the Asian category. As this quality assurance will take some time, site approvals are also taking longer, AND YOUR SITE BETTER NOT BE CRAP because I think they are also finally cracking down on freeloaders.

Best thing is to once again trust AB. They are definitely not slacking off.
