wmv files don't joing seamlessly?

Because of the new rule, I gotta use the AB WMV files now. I spent hours trying out different programs and settings, but none of the WMV movies seem to join seamlessly. There's always a "tick" or small gap at the joints. Never had this problem with AVI files.

I'm currently using supposedly the best tool: ASFtools, but no luck. Were the clips originally split improperly or they simply can't be merged without this error? Do any of the AB guys have any suggestions? WMV files are useless if they have trouble merging.

tried them all. they produce even bigger errors than asftools

I'm afraid your suspicion is reality Movie Guy....

I also have tried to join WMV files without the (annoying) click between 2 parts... without any luck... Maybe later I'll try to split a WMV file myself and then join 'em together again and see what happens.... :?

maybe wrong files,
try repair in asftolls and after it try once more
