How to make my site more attractive?

Any ideas on how to make my site more attractive to potential customers...my sites load speed sucks for one...so I have to learn how to build using CSS to speed that up (and to get the SE's to love me)...anything else i should add or do?

You know how much I respect your ideas...darnpj, Movie Guy, Honeysuckle, hajanoken (to name a few)...i can't name everyone , as there are too many of you to list.

Movie Guy...is it possible for me to get on your site listings page...that's one of my goals. :cry: I can't find the link or the thread with the url...help, please, someone...anyone? :(

i still say setting up your site like this would be better for you. nice, clean and simple design. plus iv noticed you dont "resize" your pictures correctly. instead of reducing the image and file siz down thru a photo edit program you just tell the browser to display the original image at a smaller size. ex. you display a 50k image at 50% size instead of reducing the whole image first and making it a 5k image. so you see the browser has to load 50k instead of 5k to get the same sized image.

i'd say more but im on my lunch break and ma taco bell's getting cold.
lemme know if you want me to rant on or send you the html for the above setup so you can cut and paste.

My main (big) pics, yeah...i just resized them...guess i better thumbnail 'em :oops:

My EZthumbs prog compressed 'em when i made copies of the pics into thumbs...but i had the setting at 80% :shock: , i have since moved it down to 20% and am now shrinking them down to 4-6k file sizes :oops: good catch haj :? ...

i have the graphic sizes in my code to tell the system, when the page loads, the size of each graphic is so it stays consistant with any browser.

Shoot me the html code in pm and i'll give it shot (while i'm only at 5 pages in my redesign)...can't hurt, although i'll go from 12 thumbs to 8...

and i'll be on Dreadlocks Heat site vers. 8 :cry:

:?: :idea: Another thing...how do i hide the code from those "view source" people...when i check out my site and hit view, then source...i get my whole page source code available to copy and paste...also...how do you hide the links and urls from the bottom of the page when you hover over a link?
