Mastercard no longer accepted?

I've just had an email from a guy saying that his Mastercard was declined on my join page as it was "not a valid payment option". He asked AB what the problem was and they said "Mastercard is not allowed to be used on adult sites".

I know that's rubbish as I run several paysites and have accepted Mastercard for years. Even if this is true why is the Mastercard logo still on the join page?

Can any AB guys shed any light on the matter?

I believe the CC in question here was AMEX rather than MC. AMEX pulled out of adult a long ago.
