hey everyone. just signed up too. i have similar questions as landie. i'd like to get up and running asap. i thought sitebuilder would be the best way. but there's no templates available. is this a regular issue with sitebuilder? how often do templates become available? i know enough basic html to update links and add to an already existing page but i can't design or write scripts. does this ultimately mean i'll need to hire a designer and go the ftp route?

my site id is 38871. also, as far as content goes, are we limited to content provided through adultbouncer? or can we post our own exclusive purchased/produced material? thanks in advance.

Regarding site design:
You have a few options:
wait for some templates to become available. I have no idea what the timeframe for this could be. AB-QA or Rob would know.
Buy a site template from some other place on the net. I've never done that and I'm not sure what the best place for that would be. There are hundreds of sites out there that have pre-made adult oriented site templates that you can buy and customize. They give you a few pages (homepage, a content page and maybe a tour page) and from those, you can design the rest of your site.
If you know how to code but don't know what design you like, try looking at templates and other sites on the net and get inspiration from them. Add your own flare and style to ensure that it is entirely your own and run with that. You don't need to know how to write scripts if you don't design a site that needs them. You can manage your content any way you want. Regarding Content:
You can use AB content if you want, or you can use your own licensed content, or both. AB will provide you with hosting space for your proprietary content, or you can buy your own. The advantage of using the AB content is that it is a constantly growing collection catering to all niches, and it's managed by them rather than you. The disadvantage is that there are several hundred sites on AB trying to promote the same content. If you have a kick-ass site that is really slick and well maintained, then you should have no problem pushing the content and getting sales. If your site sucks and looks like a cookie-cutter site with only 10 titles and never updates, then you won't get sales no matter what system you are affiliated with, and you definitely won't get any rebills. The downside of using your own content is that it may not have the same PornStar names like the more mainstream content that AB has available. I may be wrong, you may have licensed some content with some star names but chances are, your content doesn't have the same 'star power' that the AB stuff has (those 'star names' help get Search Engine traffic where no-names wouldn't). That being said, exclusive content can do VERY well in this business if it is high quality and it is promoted well. Anyways, long-story-short, you can use AB stuff AND your own content provided it is licensed and you are able to provide AB a copy of the license.Hope that helps,

thank you very much for taking the time to reply Cbouchar. that helps very much. it looks like i just might have to purchase a pre-made template and go the ftp route if i want to get up and running asap.

as far as content goes, there's definitely pros and cons to both. there's no disputing that the the adultbouncer network has secured massive amounts of quality content. i will be going that route first. i'm just a little skeptical i can pull the numbers needed when i'm up against hundreds of sites pushing the same stuff. but only time will tell. if i don't succeed, it'll be because of my lack of webmaster skills and, it will have nothing to do with the formula of the network itself. i have licenses to content with 'star names' and i have licenses to content i've produced without "star names' but i doubt either will help. i'm glad to know i can use my own stuff though.

thanks again,
b
