I blame the hot weather! certainly here in the UK anyway, my non-adult site has dropped by a shitload, especially at the weekends

as for my ab sites, it's actually better than it was the previous 2 months

i think the biggest problem now is webmasters trying to put up a new dvd right away without promoting it. you are just wasting movies, ruining it for promotion for others. giving too many new movies instead of trying to keep members longer. but hey you do what you gotta do. sometimes in slow times you have to focus on new projects, or upgrading your site, design etc. if you think previewing a dvd a day is justified and you take the time to do that then where's the time put into new promotion. it's so easy to get caught up with updating your site but in the end - you have to ask yourself if i went from site to site would i sign up for my site or another, am i trying to keep rebills or get new signups, whats the balance to do both. i know everyone wants to add the newest dvds but all you're doing is trying to do is keep your existing members. and they drop no matter how many movies you add - then in 2 months you are burnt out and have no new sales to show for it. doesnt matter how much work you do on your site if no one knows you exist. sometimes it does take a while to brand your site and earn street credit, earn trust from visitors and webmasters. thats why people arent getting sales especially new ones.

lol i doubt lack of sales is cuz people are putting a new dvd up quickly

oither areas of any industry is slow as well .. maybe its cuz the clothing stores are putting a new dress up everyday :)

but yea i think hot weather is a big factor. plus stocks have gone down, high gas prices are killing people big time, more wars.

this world is messed up.

one factor could be the price. with competitors dropping prices to $10 - 15, it makes $30 look steep. i know the reasons for the $30 but the consumer just sees the price. but i understand a price drop is probably not profitable on a whole.

i guess it's time to shake things up soon

problem is not only adult is down

our mainstream side is down also

so i dont think price alone is playing a factor.

there is many many factors involved.
