Many hits per day (70,000+), no new sales?

What am i doing wrong and why can't i convert....i'm in the midst of a redesign, but hell...no new sales? Well i got 1 two weeks ago. :cry:

could be a number of reasons. Maybe all you're getting is crap traffic. That almost never converts. waste of time.

But it could also be the design.

He is most probably reffering to the "hits" part of the lounge stats which is a raw number of HTTP requests and has nothing to do with the actual traffic he is getting. If he has 250 images in his HTML one visitor can cause 251 hit to be displayed in the stats.

Don't buy traffic from trafficbrokers.. unless you want to waste money....

The best way to buy traffic is actually paying for Yahoo. This way you don't get tons of traffic but you get more "on topic" traffic with a higher conversion rate...

I still haven't had time to find out all I should know about traffic, but as soon as I'm done with my first site and get it up and running i will start on the traffic thing. You should do so too. Get more knowledge on the topic so you can go for lower ammounts of high quality traffic instead of high ammounts of crap traffic.

The same goes by the way for SE ready sites, this is also a topic you should start reading about. I hate to say that it probably will have affect on you design, but yet again important to get high quality traffic.

Well, I'm not really the person to ask ya know ;)

For some people this is pretty ok, for others (like the bigshots here on ab) it just plain sux, cause they get more than 240 uniques per hour (just do the math ;) )

things just dont flow. first off you're putting the previews right away. maybe some brief text explaining what you're archive is, connection with AB. What is Dreadlocks Heat ? maybe adding Dreadlocks Heat Movie Archive will be good enough.

i know you have a frame or iframe with the description - just kind of reminds me of those gay nastydollar sites.

and what is that weird divider1.gif between consoles? it's meant to be on a white background. it makes the page look sloppy. would you buy a pair of jeans with a stain on it? it just seems like you found graphics on the net and tried to push them into your design. there are alot of good tutorials on the net, if you need help.

the buttons are ok - but don't seem like buttons. i think sometimes we have to design for dummies. you have to dummy proof your site for better conversion. Sometimes they don't have to be super huge, but it's good to carry themes and designs through out the whole page. it will make your page stronger.

and in the end i'm sure you will convert. try and be a little different. plus i'm starting my own interracial site and you know what? not everyone is gonna sign up or take tours because they are not interested in that niche. Just keep plugging away.

Connection with AB. AB is my host and provider...BUT, i'm trying to set up a base where Dreadlocks Heat can branch out into it's own domain name without it being a TGP, MGP or a SUB-domain name.
