Can Rob or QA investigate the following site, http://www.myadultnetwork.com/ . This site and i'm sure it's not alone has copied my work. i hope it gets disabled for copying word for word my Help page. other than trying to mimac my site, but its another thing stealing my words. my help page took me 2 days to write and set up and you just copy it. all my sites have taken me so many man hours and many years to work on, yet newbie assholes take advantage of it.

i've already sent an email and hopefully QA and Rob listen. this is getting ridiculous, people stealing other people's work, from screenshots to words. I make this public because this is what's ruining AB, these webmasters shouldnt be creating half assed products. what ever happened to respecting other people's work?

Hey D-XXX,
Why dont you do what i did and get your page copywritten by Go Daddy ! they do a bang up job and you get a seal to place on the page that states the site is copywritten and that use of it is against the law and they will be sued for my loss and not having permission ANY pary except anything that may already be a part of public domain! I:E covers or anything to do with the movies that are used ! For me it is the design that is copywritten.
But in your case you use alot of your own dont you? Well anyway it has stopped my site from being abused by all tthe cheaters out there! Not that my site is anything speacial but its mine and anyone using to gain from ideas or whatever are guilty of a crime now! That backed them off and i have had very little problems except with some overseas sites that just dont care because they believe they are not under FCC laws.
I know some of your work and i know it takes alot of work to stay fresh in this biz! Keep The Faith and give this copywrite a eyeball on Go Daddy. Luck 8)

thanks darnpj, do you have a link to it? is this a service godaddy provides through them hosting the domains? or a service where you can purchase it independently?
i've been looking into this, do you know how costly it is. for the amount of work we've done and are going to do i want it protected.
i guess things are getting bigger that i need to get our lawyer working.

Hey D-XXX,
The service is provided thru a company that GoDaddy hooks you up with just go to the GoDaddy website and on the home page to the left you will see a bunch of services provided by Godaddy and at the bottom you will see E-Commerce Solutions and at the bottom of that is a text link called > c-SiteŽ just click on that and it will take you to the company that does ALL of it they will even fill out your paperwork and file it! The cost is minimal compared to what you are loosing in monies to people who copy your site. Its 16.95 to Go daddy and then you must pay a 30usd filing fee that goes to uncle sam. And for 10.00 usd more you can get express service. Hope this helps and best of luck with your endeavors.
LUCK 8)

You can't be posting those links on this forum. Those links are for a competing network. You can discuss his other competing sites without actually putting the links.
Don't mean to stick my nose in someone else's business, but D-XXX has sites on several networks, not just AB. More sites = more money. Nothing wrong with that. Making money is why we are all here.
And just for clarification, none of the webmasters work for AB, we work for ourselves. AB helps us do it profitably.

cbouchar basically summed it up. i have sites everywhere, but it's one thing that i whore my own work. it's another thing that others whore my work. i wont comment on other AVSs but i dont like where they are heading.

Hi,
D-XXX, D-xxx, D-xxx, what make you so sure you never done any violation to AB before?
I happened to come across one of your site where you advertise your own DELUXEPASS in your AB site. You were actually Advertising rival AVS systems on your sites and i should have report it to ROB but i don't cos you guys are trying to make a living so i leave it.
Of course now you have taken off your Deluxepass from AB Site cos Rob will be checking your site and other webmasters that copying your work.
Don't give me that you never Advertise AB rival in your site...I swear and cursed myself get kill in road accident if I TELL LIES and i have personally seen it in my own eyes!!![b]
People who copying your works are not right and they are scum but D-XXX
they are also trying to make some living here and why don't you try to warn them to take their page off within certain time period before asking AB to disable their site.
So D-XXX the point was that anyone will do some mistakes in their life time and you are actually claiming you are honest ,innocent and never do any violation to AB but the fact you are the same like those scumbags.
[b]D-XXX has to many sites in the network and AB should be eyeing you on the first place.
Stop claiming this and that just give and take..
If i have report it earlier to ROB your sites will be disable as well and would you like that treatment too?

hahahhaah why is it that everyone who just learned english like 2 weeks ago wants to use their new found verbal skills to slander others on the forums?
i think rob should make a program that limits the number of posts you can make on the forums based on the amount of money your website is making. kinda like the abhost limits. you can have 1 post for every 10 sales. hahahhahaha these boards would empty out pretty fast.
and why don't you think we've heard from babydred in a while? its cuz he's too busy making money to worry about posting. spend more time worrying about your own sites and you'll be making too much money to worry about everyone else.
and as always D-XXX is right and all of you are wrong. making money is the bottom line but for those of us working hard for it, it also involves pride and accomplishment, something you'll never get by stealing from other ppl.
now stop reading and go update your sites.
:o

ps - if you're gonna talk smack about another person's site at least have the balls to post your own url.

i bet you it was he who stole my work. anyways show me where i have a DP link (especially when i'm not a fan of their system), i must have fucked up. but not intentionally thats for sure. i wont talk about other AVS, because i believe AB is the best, most fairest and most honest.
haj is right, i try not to talk smack as i'm real busy now and dont want to step on toes or criticize anyone. but flip me over and call me gladys if i'll stand for someone stealing my work or the work of my associates. i dont want anyone taking shortcuts off 5 years of my work unless i get a percentage.

Hey folks,
I'm a bit late coming to the conversation - but I don't see what the GoDaddy copyright service provides for you? Last I checked, anything you create you automatically have copyright to - whether you put the little copyright symbol next to it or not. If somebody makes a copy of your original work without your permission, it's copyright violation. Of course they could argue that you didn't specify that the right to redistribute was prohibited - but you get around that by putting something like...
"the content and design of this site is (symbol) copyright D-XXX 2005, all rights reserved"
With a notice like that, any time someone plagarises your work, it's a legal breach.
Granted I'm not a lawyer and legal rules are different in each country, but I've done enough law units and protected enough websites (mostly non-porn) to know the basics of copyright - I wouldn't bother paying another company (like this GoDaddy) one, because you're really just paying for the 'seal', unless they also sue people on your behalf.
That's enough ranting from me..

Hey D-XXX (and I guess anyone else stumbling across this thread :),
I'm the culprit here, and I just wanted to issue an apology. I received a message from Rob a while back (I guess when you initially posted this) and took the offending page down straight away. As Rob didn't specify who was affected, I just sent an apology via my return message and asked him to pass it on...
I havn't been too active in the community over the last couple of months (flat out at work and a new addition to the family has really limited the time available lately :) otherwise I would have seen this and spoken up sooner :)
My apologies, D-XXX - I was simply a novice (I guess I still am :) trying to make some headway by emulating the more established sites. I guess I've made some mistakes along the way, but I'm more than happy to correct them when they are pointed out.
Cheers
Dave
