i noticed when my site was first listed in the new site section on front ob AB i got 2 signups in few days i thought great my hard work and efforts paying off.No since the site was put into the listings like everyone else everything is dead 1 cllick a day if i am lucky.Secondly i made a second site and like the first one when listed in new sites for example this past 24 hours i got 43 clicks and 1 signup.
My question/suggestion like the best sites is it not more viable to circilate new sites as well after all AB still makes money either way but makes nothing if sites are lost in the listing.Dunno if its been discussed before or if it can/would be done to give everyone a bit at the cherry on the front page.Second site will be doomed to listing and click will die i guess in a few days when its taken away from new sites list.
Just a thought guys.
I have really put the efforts in to drive traffic to my site using the hun and even buying 20000 traffic and still nothing in the way of conversion to hard cash.Guess the traffic i paid for is going to everyone else....lmao

MGP movie gallery submissions will bring you plenty of traffic (traffic that converts is another story).
...other than being search engine optimized (which my site isn't so don't ask me how) and the webcrawlers/spiders find you.
You gotta bring in your own traffic to your site, not just build the site and ta-da, free traffic, signups and that new house in Costa Rica...you actually have to work at getting traffic, signups and keeping your retention good, like a real 9-5.

There may be another "bubble" in regards to the search engine traffic. Too many sponsored results push aside the legitimate ones and the cost are becoming prohibitively expensive with few returns. It's already bad in regular retail, but the adult industry is worse. The majority of us are small business owners and frankly, can't afford to compete on this marketting level with the big companies. I've tried it, and it isn't worth it.
Stick with MGPs and developing relationships with other sites. Those are still the best ways.

I agree with you, as usual, Movie Guy because you know what you're talkin' about and haven't steered me wrong yet.
Neo Beta needs to get in on this thread, as well as D-XXX, imo.

everytime i write something newbie webmasters take it the wrong way, so i try and say less. my sites are in the best sites list but like rob said you cant live off the best sites listings. we submitted galleries in the past regularly (with our own hosting), now i've added a crap load of galleries for partner free hosted galleries. and we have an MGP for each archive we create, and try and be unique with our sites versus sites of others. i'm willing to try anything.
back in the days on AB people would create new sites every week trying to survive on new sites listings. never to do an update again - in the end those guys get the worst recurring because they would never update. so in the end they were making income off the backs of big sites to keep their members live. the BEST SITES are sites who keep other people's members active since they have proven to update and get sales. some of us have mature big sites because we've been doing this for 3 years. you just have to have patience, be in it for the long haul and provide an experience people appreciate and just get out there. this means work work work .
personally i never like the concept of buying traffic that's someone else's garbage redirected traffic - that's like pushing someone to go to the bathroom when they dont have to go.

lol i hear you m8 i plan to be in it for the long term. And yes i understand fully the restrictions AB has put on content for new webmasters and why its in place. But i feel sometimes i and other newbies are in a catch 22 situation
you can't get signups cause you only have 4 movies so people look to the bigger sites to sign up.You can't become a bigger site cause signups mean more movies available. Can't get more movies cause you can't get signups cause of little content.
Can't make large amount of preview pages cause you only get the pics for your 4 films.Would it not be possible for at least more pics of movies be available so at least people like me can make it seem like theres loadsa content for the potential signup?
sorta like what came first the chicken or the egg....lol
I have submitted to loads of MGP's but for some reason i don't seem to get listed.
But will keep on ploading for now and hope theres a turn in my fortunes.Been looking at site this past few days adding and changing things to help its outward look.
As alway i read and take notes of all comments and as always appreciate the feedback.I feel if i don't ask well it aint gonna come and bite me the amswer if i don't.....lol

If your galleries aren't getting approved, there could be a reason (sometimes the reviewers don't give helpful reasons). If you want, you can post a link to one of your galleries here and let the more experienced webmasters (who get their galleries posted on a daily basis) review it and give you some feedback on what works and what could help you get visitors to click-though to your main site.
You're right, it can be tough to promote with such a limited amount of initial content. Be patient. When the new month comes around, you will get 4 more credits on top of what ever has been given from sales.

if i only had four movies to promote id at least break them down into individual scenes. 4 movies x 5 scenes = 20 movies with hopefully 20 different actresses. I can't think of the last time i signed up for an adult site because they had an entire movie I wanted to see. I tend to look for specific actresses/scenes/scenarios. that might be an easier way for you to promote your site as well as make it look bigger than it really is.

yeah and anyway you get more movies every month so it'll be 8, 12, etc..
D-XXX 3 years.. how many redesigns so far.? I changed mine 3 times.. and radically :)
and do you have other job or just stick to ab 24.7? I'm asking because I have a daytime job where sometimes I can work on ab but sometimes I have to work for the actual job. :D and I'm thinking what if I stop wasting my time going to work every day and just stay home updating ab.. is it worth it?

search engines are very costly now
we run velcom.com and some people pay 25.00 per click. there is no friggin way youll get a return
they do it more for branding.
