1) We are adding a secondary machine for gallery host, once that fills up a third and so on will be added. this will work in a load balanced fashion so the system will never crawl again.
2) Domains or subdomains are now permitted in the gallery host, no more blacklisting :) If you want a subdomain or domain pointing to your ABHOst account just pop the webtechies an email or ICQ/AIM with full details and they'll make it so kemosabi!

thats great news rob.
i was wondering something. I plan on launching a big hosted gallery campaign with this, but I need php capabilities on the freehost.
will this be available?

unfortunately no this takes ALOT of overhead...

And yes to subdomains/domains are permitted to point to your adultbouncerhost.com account :) now u can post galleries like mad

you can use php on the cgi/php host, ask the techs for an account
but it wont be enabled on the main servers. Sorry.

rob are you still considering a separate gallery server for sites with 200+ members? i promise you'll get a LOT of new members from me if that's available. right now i'm not too keen to use the abhost server due to banning and also declined galleries because of server speed (don't have that problem with my other servers)

No offense but you know you all could just take your cash, reinvest and get your own server like the rest of us do. Even better they come with php, cgi, and etc. And interesting alternative to worrying about AB's gallery hosting.

No offense but you know you all could just take your cash, reinvest and get your own server like the rest of us do. Even better they come with php, cgi, and etc. And interesting alternative to worrying about AB's gallery hosting.
dude i'm paying $400 a month for my own gallery server already. i need more because i'm hiring a full time webmaster to push daily galleries, and the AB site is not my only site.
rob it's mostly the speed issue right now, ie. mgps declining the gallery because it's too slow. for example richards realm never declines galleries on my other servers but most of the ones i make on the abhost get declined for speed reasons. also every couple of months abhost servers get overloaded and either slow down too much or need tuning from you guys to get on track again. i'd rather concentrate on selling memberships and possibly making new sites (hint hint) than asking mgps to unban me every two months. you know what i mean bro?
i've only made 17 galleries for my ab site and rob you know my sales record. imagine the increase in sales if i don't need to worry about the abhost having performance problems or crashing, and hire a guy to push 30 galleries a month. more $ and less headache for both you and me 8)

17 galleries? that's alot. i only make 1 gallery/2 weeks for each archive. that's 5 galleries every 2 weeks. i had to purchase a 10mbps pipe but now that's not enough especially with the number of sites i submit to. And i convert probably better than most and that's the only reason i survive.
Right now i'm looking into a 100mbps pipe. It's the only way to go when you're serious about submitting.

Wasn't talking to you specifically, I meant in general for everyone. Gallery hosting has become the norm for AENs but it will never come with the perks of owning your own box, so for those having so many difficulties that would be your best bet.. and on that note you had better snag a 20mbit even if you're only spanking 1 gallery a day, I have 15-20 going out daily from my webmasters on my sites and I need 2 100mbit servers just to survive.

We're going to have a meeting about this to improve our gallery hosting.
Its been on the back burner due to cleaning up DRM first then we can tackle ABHost and make it the best in the industry.
