We've just sent out the first issue of our hosted galleries newsletter.

It contains links to current submitted galleries. It has been sent out to 35k webmasters.

35k? As in 35,000? That's ALOT of webmasters...

35,000 AB webmasters Rob? Or does that include webmasters from other sources? I have no idea WHAT other sources though. :(

It'd be really cool if there was way to bulk-import galleries. Doing it one at a time is a bit of a drag.

i agree with honeysuckle, it would be better to bulk import galleries but i understand you have to slap that javascript on the page for tracking purposes. i've added 70+ galleries and it's taken a while - but all in the name of love.

i'd rather it take a bit longer than not have it available at all.

thats the total amount of email addresses in our database for webbies.

Got my email, it's rather large at 21MB, yes that's right, TWENTY ONE MEGABYTES! :shock:

21MB ? the e-mails we sent out were 325KB each.

You are right supafly we saw the problem

I got some emails 50mb :P

We are correcting the problem and resending the entire list, this time it should send pretty quickly.

I don't use any kind of blocker... but still no email... oh well... don't really need 21MB big emails in my box :p (I don't think hotmail can handle these kind of mails)

we resent it ot the entire list

it was 200kb in size

ill check our maillog to see if it was successfully sent to you. if it was your provider is blocking us.

Both Hotmail accounts, coincidence? I don’t think so.

Be sure to check your 'Junk Mail' folders.

More likely is that Hotmail blocked the newsletter based on content, source IP range, or your user defined filters.

my email wasnt hotmail based, and i didnt recieve any emails. i had to get a forward just to see it.

if webmasters are having problems recieving it then how are people suppose to push them? maybe you should use the same sending address as the signups - because we get those. i don't know... i just deal with pixels not the tech stuff

My Junk email filter at hotmail is set at low...

I always get my signup mails without any problems on my hotmail address you mentioned, so I don't see why the gallery-mails get blocked...


Maybe an email with a link to a galleries-update page hosted on AB?

thats because of your genious network admin

he probably has spam or whatever filters on it and all our stiff is being filtered. most likely it having html or beinmg pretty large :)(

i found out by hotmail that it will filter our emails if they contain *adult* or adult related words or is pretty large

not much we can do about it. its a never ending battle trying to make our email with hotmail work

and not displaying adult related words in the gallery emails is impossible

if you want to promote the galleries you can see them all in the lounge

I stopped using hotmail ages ago. Get yourself a http://www.runbox.com email account. Only costs $29.95 a year, great features, great support, great service - had mine for 2 years without a problem.

Receives all adultbouncer emails no problem, yet still blocks spam and viruses :D

I got about 8 email accounts, so that's not the problem... Just the one I registered with adultbouncer was a hotmail one... so bad luck for me I guess...

ps... paying for email? HA! got my money better to spend :wink:

I'm not a minge bag, $29.95 for a year is not bad 8)

Besides, I need runbox email to receive large attachments for my picture/movie submission sites. When I started 2 years ago, runbox was the only cost effective option for receiving 30mb attachments. Some email companies were asking $99+ for same features.

I now have two runbox email accounts, one personal other business. Of course I could just setup an account on my server now, but everyone submits to my runbox email so I will keep it going.
