I finally got approved so now I just have a couple of questions.

1) I need to start promoting the site, to do that I want to do up some sample/preview movies both to put on my site preview page and for posting to MGP’s etc. Is it possible to get access to the movies so that I can take smaller clips or do I have to wait until I get enough signups for a free account or pay for an account myself? If I pay for one myself can I signup using my own link and effectively get it at ½ price.

Or is there some other way of getting short samples of the movie, will moviesplitter do this for me?

I don’t realy need/want full access to the movies but it’s a bit hard to promote is I don’t have a few short samples. Also I want to take some better screen shots than the ones in the pics.zip files.

2) With posting to MGP’s do I just put all the sample files etc in the preview part of the site or do they have to reside somewhere else?

Sorry if I sound like a bit f a novice but now that I have the site approved I want to come pout swinging and do the suggested daily posts to MGP’s etc.

If your site has just recently been posted to the 'New Sites' list, you should be able to get 4 signups no problem - if you don't then you might want to re-vamp your site. Placement on the New Sites list tends to get people 5 or more sign-ups, although it might be more difficult now that there is a 'Best Sites' list nearby. If you don't get the signups you need, then Yes, you can sign-up to your own site which will cost you $15 a month, until you get enough regular signups to get a free account.

As for sample movies, you cannot post any sample movies on your preview site. What you CAN do, to get around this, is to get an Adultbouncerhost account (which you would need anyways to set up MGP Galleries). You can put sample clips there and link to them from your galleries - then link to the galleries from your Preview site. NOTE: you cannot link directly to the movie clip from your preview site, only to the gallery (as far as I know, unless some rules have changed that I am not aware of...)

Moviesplitter is an application that will ... split movies .... not download them. Specifically designed to help you split DRM movies. If you don't want to use it, just get your clips from non-DRM files and use whatever video editing software you want.

You don't have to appologize for sounding like a novice, you are one. Everybody was at some point.

Hope that helps.

Cheers for the help.

I'll give it a few days and see what the new list gives me otherwise I'll signup myself.

I've been making myself a few notes as I have been going along. Think I might put together a "newbie guide from a newbie", some things get a little unclear just reading through the forums.

I fear the 'Best Sites' list now takes potential sales away from new sites, sadly possibly depriving the network of other quality sites in the future.
