possible to download all my selected/approved movies in txt

I think that is good idea if webmasters can download
all selected/approved movies from ms.adultbouncer.com in ONE txt file.
for example structure:

Webmasters can download all your movies in ONE TXT file..I think that this file will not have more that 2-10KB
and also think that this not very big problem make this for your developers..

I think you missed the point Rob.

The person isn't trying to upload movies into his account, but upload movie INFORMATION onto his/her site. Sounds like they just want an easier way of getting the information so they can add it to their site.

What I would LOVE to see is something similar but in XML:

Why would you want the ENTIRE set in one file? Much of the info is incomplete/incorrect and on most of the older movies (pre 2005), the file sizes were incorrect for anything over 1gb. Wouldn't you want to have complete info on your site that is accurate and shows that you actually review the stuff that you post? I'm not saying that you don't review your stuff, but when you want everything in one file that you can import, somehow automatically for your site, it seems to me that you just want the easy route rather than the one that will produce quality results. I may be wrong but that's how it looks from here.

It's an effort optimisation thing really..

First of all, it's easier for me to add new movies to my site when all the info is there - and if it was in XML, I could just write a program that grabs all the info without me having to copy/paste it in.

This leaves me more time to do the work we have to do for each movie. In our site's case:

- Watch each movie we put on our site
- Write a (hopefully) funny script for a review of the movie
- Film me + Adam sitting on the couch (badly) acting out the script

So yeah, getting all the details in a single file would make things 'easier', but it's not like we're slacking off.

If you can write a small app to process an XML file and format the output to fit your site, why can't you simply view the source code for the page that shows your movies (set it up to display 20 per page) and get your custom app to strip-out the info you need. Depending on how many titles you have, you would only have to run it a few times to get your whole set of movies.

Heck, if you write that app, you may even get a few AB webmasters to buy a copy of it! I think that would be a better route than getting AB to do more work.

ask the successful webmasters how they became successful it's out of hard work and being innovative (at least until people mimac) not copying and pasting dvd info. funny but copy and pasting is someone's specialty here - from thumbs to scene descriptions. kurnuto disgraziato

cbouchar: Actually thinking of writing such an app.. but it's always going to be easier to parse XML than to parse a website... if you get what I mean.

Plus, I barely have enough time to keep my site updated at the moment, let alone write programs for other webmasters :)

We spent alot of money inputting this data and makin g it available in a formnat like that leaves a dsoor open to competitors downloading the data easily.

I must say, Korny, you're getting a little demanding that AB use a particular delimiter and place the size and runtime in one line - just the way YOU like it. There are many other webmasters that will be using this feature and having it tailored to your own specs would make it difficult for others to use.
How about just having the info separated with a new line and then you can modify it what ever way you want, without making it difficult for the rest of the Webmasters to use.

The bit rate of all the movies is the same. You have to go back almost a year to get bitrates that are less than 1500kbps.

what in the world would you need that for? who wants to know resolution and bitrate the important thing is that they are high quality!!!

following the same pattern i would like ab to provide:
- actors and actresses real names (+ cell phone numbers for girls ;) )
- date, time and location where the scene was shot
- wmx playlists for each scene and movie
(wait, that's not such a bad idea!! :lol: )

@korny, no offence but I suggest you do that kind of research yourself with your movies and stop bothering ab staff with useless demands and let them concentrate on more important problems...
