Firstly, I just like to say hi to all the webmasters and members of this site - it seems there are some very helpful and knowledgeable people around here! :D
Well, I managed to get my site designed and approved all in one day, thanks to Sitebuilder and the people who designed it! It was a bit daunting at first, but after a short while it all made sense and was easy to use.
Although I work in IT, I have always shied away from anything to do with learning about HTML or the various web design programs.....a case of the great unknown I suppose. So that is where it made life a lot easier for me. I hope it will give me the confidence to learn to design myself one day soon....
I have read through as many posts as possible trying to avoid newbie questions, but there are a few things I'm not too sure about. If any of you busy people can find the time to help, I should be most grateful!
I have submitted my site to Google and DMOZ, but I realize it might take a long time for my site to filter into the system. I was wondering what practical steps I can take to get a little traffic and make this venture a little financially rewarding.
Am I right in thinking that I will need to open an MGP account with AB? And if so will that entail having to build another site from scratch for the purpose of promoting my site? I do find this whole MGP/reciprocal thing a bit confusing.
Is it possible to change the e-mail contact address on my AB site, as I do not particularly want to use the one I used when becoming a webmaster? I have tried to go to www.adultbouncer.org - but the page is always unavailable?
Question for any European webmasters - is it a major hassle getting paid in US$. I'm afraid my bank here in Spain will clobber me with conversion commissions and will take a month of Sundays to release the funds.....assuming I earn any!
Anyway, I hope I haven't rambled on too much. I hope to be a useful member of this community, like I have been on other non-related messgae boards. Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions.
Kind regards,
