I would like to know whether SiteBuilder can be used to replace existing website designs? Currently, my site sucks. I would like to use one of the funky new templates that are available though SiteBuilder but don't want to have 2 sites on the go. Can I apply for a SiteBuilder account so that I can redesign my current site?

My answer would be yes...but you may lose your current members due to the site they signed up for will no longer be updated, as you'll have the new one up and running.
I'd build the new site and then post, on your old site that this site will be moving to a new url because you are doing a complete site design overhaul to server them better and suggest your current signups change their bookmarks to the new url once the new site is up and running.
From what i've learned, being a beta tester for sitebuilder, is you will NOT have FTP access to your site...at all. This means you will not have the ability to download and edit your thumbs, then upload them to the server. Meaning no photoshop or paintshop to fix/cleanup the thumbs you will be using, so pick them wisely. ALL site edits have to be done from sitebuilder.
My advice, weigh the pros and cons of using sitebuilder as opposed to redesigning your already existing site.

but you may lose your current members Dred
Dude, if I had enough members to be concerned about, I wouldn't be doing an overhaul as drastic as this. My current members won't mind the change, since I will be adding a bunch of content that I haven't used yet and functionality that is not currently available on my site.
Thanks for the advice about weighing my options. I have done that and really, I have nothing to lose by starting from scratch with this. Beside, if I don't like the new site I build with SiteBuilder, I can still go back to the previous design since I won't be replacing the old one until the new one is ready (obviously).

How about me building sites and you getting a partner account?
I got some sites in the works - also opening some of my existing big sites to partners. Don't want to give out too many details right now.
I'll make a post when i'm ready. anyone interested feel free to contact me i'd like to know what would make ab webmasters happy

1. no you cant redesign current sites has to be new sites.
2. most of the designs are nice for most ab designers they will not cut it.
also i dont know if u can edit it like u could if u have it on ur desktop. theres limits to it so far so for most webmasters who add different things you wont want to use the sitebuilder as of now.
3.is interested in what D-XXX is planning......

I answered this in my previous post xpc:
<edit> ALL site edits have to be done from sitebuilder.
This means ANY changes or edits and the only thing you can upload to your site on sitebuilder is a self-designed logo or title banner for your site.
