This is an important update regarding website billing. Website billing will be shut down as of today because of affiliates being unhappy that the biller has a checkered history with respect to payment of affiliates and webmasters billing through them . The lost biller will be replaced by 2000charge and linkpoint and Verotel which brings three more billers to the cascade. This should increase revenues across the board.
Also with the addition of 2000charge, we will be bringing seperate payment options for Asian and European customers. If you have any thoughts or input on this, please add comments.
Thanks and have a nice day.
Arun.
So I'd assume any signups that went through them are transferred right?

what about nettrans? Is there a problem with them?
I haven't gotten a nettrans signup in a week. Either none of the people signing up qualify for nettrans, or something is wrong with the biller.

Nope NetTrans is ok, we did increase scrubbing to keep our chargebacks down though so this could be a reason.
As for website billing we did get paid once, lets hope it continues.
If they don't continue to cover payments we will be forced to purge all users through WSB.
Alot of webmasters are having problems with them.

So if you have any sign ups with website billing then who pays if we change or drop them? Will we just continue to be payed as long as the membership is paid! I think I have 3 or 4 wsb sign-ups and I was wondering who they were? And exactly how can i get all of my payment into one check? I have ibill, wsb, paypal, ccbill, abbill sign-ups ! So if i could just have all of them in one check that would be cool!
So should we be concerned about wsb sign-ups and not getting paid? Or just say wait and see!?

From what I am gleening from this, that is exactly why they are dropping the darn. They aren't paying. This may end up being a loss we are going to have to take.

this will allow asian and european users pay in their
own currency?
exchange ratios sounds like an anal rape to a lot of
people, including myself

Hey all,
Just keep in mind that decisions about Websitebilling are based on their payment practices. It is better for everyone if they are cut EARLY in the process. This results in less loss for everyone.
I am one who can attest to their payment problems, as they abruptly stopped paying me as of Jan 1, 2003. Currently, I am stuck in a boat where they owe me over $4,000 + rebills that are adding up at about $1,000 to $2,000 a month.
You are lucky if you are only out a few sign-ups + rebills. I am in a situation where I need to decide which states jurisdiction I will sue them in.
This is definitely a situation where all AB webmasters are lucky that decisions were made to cut them early.
Kudos to Rob on saving you all a bunch of future headaches

Just thought I would let this board know about what I heard about
PayPal today...
http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/gen/ua/use/index_frame-outside&ed=mature
It says that its not supposed to be used as a biller for adult material.

Yeah Zug,
I was just about to post the same thing.
This is definitely an interesting turn of events. Luckily only about 5 percent of my signups were from paypal.
Hopefully they can just simply be replaced with another biller.
Actually, Paypal must have just done that.
Why do I say this.
There are about 40 different sites(maybe way more than that), that use paypal.
So paypal seemingly doesn't care.
